Inked Hairline Studio Scalp Micropigmentation for Hair Loss, Long Island NY

Scalp micropigmentation: the #1 solution for hair loss

Don’t let balding and hair loss get in the way of you living your best life! This non-surgical, cosmetic solution to hair loss offers natural looking results with no recovery time necessary.

Also known as Cosmetic Hair Tattoo or Scalp Tattoo, scalp micropigmentation is the leading alternative to hair transplant surgery for those experiencing hair loss.

The only non-surgical, long term solution for hair loss, scalp micropigmentation uses the precise placement of microdots into the upper layer of the skin, mimicking the look of closely-shaven hair.

This innovative treatment visually restores hairlines for those with hair loss, and provides the look of dense growth for those with thinning hair. Scalp micropigmentation is so precise and natural looking, it can easily fool the eye.

Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is an effective solution for hiding a receding hairline. It can effectively create a new hairline, or blend in your existing hair for a natural and flawless look. Turn back the hands of time with a full, even hairline.

Scalp micropigmentation can create the illusion of thicker hair by creating visual density. The contrast between the hair and the skin below can be minimized by tattooing pigment to the scalp. By expertly blending and shading the scalp micropigmentation follicles into the existing hair, the scalp becomes practically invisible to the eye. A blended scalp with less visible skin makes hair appear full and thick.

In addition, clients who have had a hair transplant can use scalp micropigmentation (SMP) to complement their surgery; by adding density, resulting in the appearance of thicker hair.

Scalp micropigmentation is also a great solution for clients who have had hair transplants or have scars from head trauma. Scalp micropigmentation is the simplest, quickest, and best solution for scar concealment on the scalp. The results can be life-changing.

Scalp micropigmentation is suitable for all types and stages of hair loss. Inked Hairline Studio offers an effective hair loss solution for men and women of diverse ages, colors, and skin types. The complete process typically spans 3-4 sessions, each lasting approximately 3-5 hours.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is scalp micropigmentation the best option for hair loss?

While there are other options for hair loss available, they cannot guarantee results like scalp micropigmentation can. A hair transplant is a common option, but not everyone is a good candidate for this procedure. This surgical option is costly, can leave scars, and may not provide results which match the client’s expectations.

There are endless supplement pills and topical potions available to treat hair loss. While these options may offer results, it can take months to see a change, if any is noted at all! These treatments can also be costly, as most require taking or using a daily dose for a lifetime.

Scalp micropigmentation is a fraction of the cost of a hair transplant, and the results are instant and permanent. Plus, clients who have undergone our scalp micropigmentation treatment can still have a hair transplant afterwards if they decided they’d like to go that route. The previous scalp micropigmentation treatment will not interfere with the transplant, and would add to the density of the overall look. Scalp micropigmentation can also be used to cover hair transplant scars.

Will my scalp micropigmentation treatment be noticeable to others?

Inked Hairline Studio treatments are designed to match your existing hair, blending seamlessly with your growth for a natural look that is not noticeable to the naked eye.

If you look closely at the head of an individual with a shaved head, the hair looks like lots of small dots. In scalp micropigmentation treatments, we use micro needles to replicate these dots using a specialized technique. The scalp micropigmentation treatment is blended seamlessly into the existing hair, leaving an undetectable result. For clients with longer hair, these micro dots would be built up over the course of treatment sessions until the desired treatment density is achieved.

How long will scalp micropigmentation last?

Scalp micropigmentation is a permanent solution to hair loss. You can expect it to last a lifetime with maintenance touch-ups along the way. The frequency of required touch ups depends on various factors including your immune system, UV exposure, and your preference. Some clients require touch ups every 4-6 years, whereas others may require them every 3 years – and some never require a touch up!

The results are lasting, and the need for maintenance really depends on the client’s body and desired effect. Touch ups are usually completed within 1-2 hours.

How will you design my new hairline?

Designing your new hairline is completed during your first treatment by client and technician together. We add around 45 minutes to your first session to accommodate hairline design.

Based upon your feedback, we design your preferred hairline. Your style may include a highly defined hairline, a natural receded look, or a subtle and soft hairline. Our practitioner will advise you along the way.

We begin by drawing your new hairline using a white wax pencil, making any adjustments along the way. Only once you are satisfied with your new hairline do we begin the scalp micropigmentation treatment. Although the new hairline will be in place following the first session, it will be subtle. The visible result will build with each session, until the desired density is reached. This gradual nature also allows for changes to your hairline mid-treatment, if needed.

Will scalp micropigmentation treatment damage my existing hair growth?

No; scalp micropigmentation treatments are entirely safe and do not damage existing hair growth nor hair growth from hair transplant procedures. Some clients even use scalp micropigmentation and hair transplants together to create their desired density.

Do scalp micropigmentation treatments hurt?

Scalp micropigmentation is a relatively painless treatment. Some clients describe the feeling like a small pinprick on the scalp, where others even say it feels nice and relaxing. Some clients listen to music during their treatment.

What is the cost of scalp micropigmentation treatments?

Standard pricing is typically $1,500-$5,000 depending on the severity of your hair loss and the skill of the practitioner. We’ve been trained by industry leaders and offer top-of-the-line service.

Not all scalp micropigmentation artists are the same; there is a technique to everything and we only use the most highly rated, effective techniques. We are licensed and will perform the scalp micropigmentation procedure in an approved sanitary environment, adhering to the strictest of cleanliness and hygiene standards.
